There are staycations and then there are staycations!!
We have mentioned it a few times on the Angling Escapades blog lately, but the world has changed over the last year or so. Not matter your views on Covid, you can’t deny that.
All industries have been hit hard, but arguably, none more than the travel industry. We have probably all had a holiday cancelled or postponed over the last year, leaving us worrying if we’ll ever get away of see our money again.
As we move into May and then ultimately the summer holidays, we’re all longing for a little time away. However, it’s not going to be easy is it? Covid passports, PCR tests, lateral flow tests and then, to top it all off, a ten day hotel quarantine that you have to fund yourself.

We have loads to offer down this neck of the woods from Michelin starred restaurants to trendy burger joints, such as Beefy Boys located in the middle of Hereford. There is an abundance of country pubs to choose from. Whether it’s just a pint in a local or some fine cuisine at somewhere like The Bell at Skenfrith.
There are a host of sites to visit such as Tintern Abbey, the wonderful Hay-on-Wye for all you book lovers, plus other lovely towns to visit along the Wyes meandering path such as Hereford, Monmouth and Ross.
